Detached Secondary Dwellings aka Plan D

That's it! The cat is out of the bag. Our Plan D. If you're not sure what I'm referring to, you can read our last blog post about it here.


You may have heard them called Accessory Dwelling Units, Coach Houses, Laneway Houses, Guests Houses... the list goes on. Another list that seems to go on and on is the list of benefits these legal secondary dwelling units provide for homeowners and landlords. #doubleyourcashflow


These units are private, extremely functional and completely detached homes popping up in the backyards of many homes in North America. They're the perfect "pivot" for Tartan Developments.


Jake and I love designing and building new homes from the ground up. We love solving problems.

We love adding value to existing property. Voila! The perfect fit.


There are a lot of intricate details needed to take into account before determining if adding a Detached Secondary Unit is right for you and your yard.
